Feinberg promises improvement for claimants

Doris Bouzigard Cheramie, 85, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011.
Mrs. Cheramie was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Louman “Toupee” J. Cheramie; son, Douglas (Linda Gayle) Cheramie; daughter, Elda (Wade) Allemand; sister, Jeanette Cheramie; five grandchildren, Buffy Lafont, Kevin Cheramie, Jobe and Alex Allemand and Nicholas Helmer; and four great-grandchildren, Jacob and Evan Lafont, Preston Dupont and Corey Cheramie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Justin Sr. and Viola Bouzigard; one son, Pete Cheramie; two brothers, Douglas and Justin Jr. Bouzigard; and three sisters, Pearl Ledet, Ethel Verret and Frazia Bouzigard.
She is buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
