Doris Esponge Plaisance, 81, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Marrero, La., died Wednesday, December 17.
She is survived by her husband, Paul C. Plaisance; five daughters, Lucille De Ben, Sandra Victoriano, Paula Melancon, Lynn Plaisance-Reed and Mary Ockman; one brother, Roy Carpenter; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Esponge and Justilia P. Esponge; and one sister, Thelma Blanchard.
She was buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery in Cut Off, La.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
