Doris “Dee Dee” Prosperie Hebert, 90, a native of Little Caillou, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009.


She is survived by her daughter, Dona Jude Hebert Boudreaux; seven grandchildren, Bruce (Alison) Boudreaux, Monique “Niki” (Jody) Lapeyrouse; Christie (Clayton) Dorman; Rebecca “Becky” (Michael Jr.) Kraemer; Angela (Ronnie) Blanchard; Lanni Lynn “Twirp” (Gary “Blue” Jr.) Bouquet and Robbie Boudreaux; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Ernest Prosperie; and devoted niece, Mercedes Fabre Picou.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hebert; parents, Joseph “Joe” and Alena Lirette Prosperie; daughter, Faith “Chickie” (Robert) Boudreaux; brothers, Junius and Murphy Prosperie; sister, Eula Prosperie; and great-grandchild, Macie Lynn Blanchard.

Mrs. Hebert was retired from Terrebonne General Medical Center, where she served as a nurse’s aide for 33 years. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, and enjoyed fishing and spending time at her Cocodrie camp.

She is buried in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
