Doris Mullis Trahan, 73, a native of Charlotte, N.C., and resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011.


Mrs. Trahan was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma and Woodmen of the World. She was a homemaker.


She is survived by her husband, Raymond Trahan; daughters, Angel (Jody) Gustin and Brenda (Byron) Kern; grandchildren, Jana (Chris) Bourgeois, Chad Scurlock and Haley and Elise Kern; two great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Watson and Bertha Mullis; seven brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at First Baptist Church of Houma with services to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. (Chauvin)
