Dorothy Bergeron Cheramie, 83, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Wednesday, February 13, 2008, at 6:41 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Cheramie; sons, Cleveland, Gilmay, Jeffery, and Johnny Chouest; daughter, Patricia Louviere; brothers, Allen and Alvin Bergeron; sisters, Helen Foret and Mary Ruth Schexnayder; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Baptist Bergeron and Elesa Foret Bergeron; daughter Arlene Ann Chouest; brothers, Shelton and Warren Bergeron; and sisters, Mary Ann Clark, Anna Falgout, Grace Bushnel, Melona Bruce and Janice Bergeron.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008, at Christian Fellowship Church in Cut Off, La., with the funeral to follow. She will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La.
