Dorothy “Dot Monie” Navarre Braud, 88, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Schriever, La., died at 5:27 a.m. Thursday, August 28.
She is survived by her husband, Charles J. Braud Jr.; two sons, Charles “Chilli” Braud III and Robert “Bobby” Braud; three daughters, Myran Guidry, Geraldine “Geri” Caro and Cathy Creadeur; one sister, Garnet “Teny” Carreras; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olivian Navarre and Agnes Legendre Navarre; one daughter, JoAnn Roundtree; five brothers, Olivian Navarre Jr., Lester, Clarence Joseph “C.J.”, Marcel and Conrad Navarre; and six sisters, Lillian Perryman, Elise Barrilleaux, Louise Lorenzo, Rita Harvey, Dolly Foster and Shirley Pierce.
She was buried at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
