Dorthy Whatley, 79, a native of Jefferson, Texas and resident of Houma, La., died at 8:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012.
Mrs. Whatley was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma and former proprietor of Chateau Des Enfant Kindergarten.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Whatley; sons, Bryan (Tammy) and Bruce (Kim) Whatley; brothers, Ernest Jr., Jiggs and Don Allen; sister, Jewel Fason; and grandchildren, Bryan Jr., Tanner, Braden, Alicia and Sierra Whatley and Victoria and Michael Kemp.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Verna Allen.
