Earl J. Henry, 94, a native of Bayou Dularge, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at 11:40 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Verrel LeBlanc Henry of Houma; son, Dana Henry and wife Clara of Denton, Texas; daughter, Karen Henry Dower of Baton Rouge, La.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and sister, Grace Rome of Houston, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vital Henry and Winnie Champagne Henry; and brother, Dr. Royce Henry.
He was the Owner of Henry’s Furniture Store and served in the Air Force during World War II.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 4, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home.
