Earl “Manny Man” Johnson, 60, a native of Gibson, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Saturday, August 11, 2007.


He is survived by his father, Earl Johnson, Jr. and his wife Sandra; three brothers, Reginald Johnson, Kevin Johnson and his wife Scherilyn, and Andre’ Johnson; five sister, Jascelyn Jackson, Madeline Austin, Dahynald Hunley, Kimberly Wright, and LeKeisha Johnson; and two Grandchildren, Shantell Handy and Morgan Varnodo.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Lee Johnson; one son, Earl Anthony Pitt, one sister, Andrea Johnson Drancerfield; his grandparents, Earl & Zenobia Johnson and Pastor William and Elizabeth Johnson.

Visitation is Saturday, August 18, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Morgan City. He will be buried at St. James Baptist Church in Gibson.

Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
