Earl “Lil Bro” Tunson, 68, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died Monday, March 3, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.


He was an employee at Caldwell Sugar Refinery for 28 years.


Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Williams & Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8 at St. Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville. Rev. Melvin Mead and Pastor Lloyd Jones will officiate of service. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lillie Mae Tunson; son, Earl Jr. and wife Nicole Tunson; sister, Annie Mae Patterson; six sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie and Donald Tunson; mother and father-in-law, Carlbertha and Peter Thomas; sisters, Oralee Johnson and Myrtle Robinson; brother, Harry Lloyd Tunson; one brother-in-law; one nephew; and one sister-in-law.

Williams & Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
