March 11, 2014Earl T. “Governor” Young, 66, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Houston, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014.
Mr. Young was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired laborer.
He is survived by his mother, Ester Parker; and aunt, Shirley Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, William Parker; and grandparents, Henry and Mable Young.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Allen Chapel AME Church in Thibodaux with services to follow. Burial will be at Louisiana National Cemetery. (Williams & Southall)
