Ecton Lawrence “Ji” Billiot Jr., 40, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Montegut, La., died at 5:53 a.m. Saturday July 5.


He is survived by his wife, Norma Verdin Billiot; his parents, Ecton Lawrence Billiot Sr. and Violet Handon Billiot; four stepsons, Christopher, Jeremie, Jacob and David; one stepdaughter, Lisa; three brothers, Ricky, E.J. and Trent; four sisters, Frances, Penny, Laurie and Zelma; four step-grandchildren; and five great nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by one brother, James.

He was an operator with Gulf Island Fabrication.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, July 7, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. Religious services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
