Eddie Joseph Chaisson, 84, a native of Montegut, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday February 24, at 9:15 pm.
He is survived by his son, David Chaisson and wife Cindy of Houma; daughters, Rebecca Greenwood and husband Michael of Meridian, Ms., Barbara Schulman and husband Richard of New York, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Heather Bergeron and Kristopher Chaisson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edison and Ophelia Hotard Chaisson; son, Thomas Chaisson; brother, Horace Chaisson; and sister, Eunice Landry.
He was a retired welder from Avondale Shipyards and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Living Word Church of Houma.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, February 26, and 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 27, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. at Living Word Church.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
