Edgar Joseph Pierce, 76, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died Saturday, October 11, at 10:43 a.m.
He is survived by his sons, Keith Pierce and wife Sharon, and Kipp Pierce and wife Nicole; daughters, Darlene Vega and husband Paul, and Stacie Bellanger and husband Billy; brothers, Horace Jr., Calvin and Nolan Pierce; sisters, Verna Gros and Rena Gautreaux; grandchildren, Dawn and Danielle Pierce, Deke Bonvillain, Bryan James, Billy Bellanger Jr., Carly Plaisance and Sophia Pierce; and great-grandchildren, Meranda Plaisance, Dylan Rousse, Abbey Griffin, Brenden Friel, Tahj Bonvillain, Jaely Plaisance, Nate Bellanger, Mya Bellanger and Cally Plaisance.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Cheramie Pierce; parents, Horace Pierce and Marie Abribat Pierce; and brothers, Larry and Harry Pierce.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
