Edgar “Pop” Davaine, 79, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 10:34 a.m. Thursday, October 16.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Bourgeois Davaine; one daughter, Aline Marie Dean and husband Ross Dean Sr.; two sisters, Bertha Sevin and Cecile Loupe; two grandchildren, Angela Dean and Ross Dean Jr. and Holly; and one great-grandchild, Kiah Renee Dean.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Hordalie Loupe Davaine; four brothers, Charlie, Edward, Guy and Johnny Davaine; and three sisters, Marie Landry, Lulay Landry and Aline Davaine.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
