Edmond J. “Ga Ya” Vedros, 77, a native of Raceland and resident of Mathews, La. died Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 1:00am.


He is survived by his mother, Rose Mary P. Vedros; two sons, Edmond, Jr. and Joey Vedros and his wife Wanda; three grandchildren, Angel Pertuit and her husband Harvey, Patricia Schulz and her husband Brett, and Joey Vedros III; one great grandchild, Harvey “Boogie” Pertuit III.


He was preceded in death by his father, Alcide Vedros.

Edmond was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Raceland. He was retired from Booker Drilling after 32 years.

Visitation is Saturday, June 30, 2007 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Falgout Funeral Houma in Raceland, with the funeral to follow at St. Mary Catholic Church. He will be buried at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
