Edward “Bumble Bee” Bradley, 72, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, August 20.


He is survived by his wife Ceola D. Bradley of Thibodaux; sons, Jerome Dorsey and wife Mowella of Thibodaux, Edward Dorsey and wife Usula of Mandeville, La., Darren Sylvan, Alton Dorsey and wife Willmae, Bobby Dorsey and Don Robertson of Thibodaux, Alvin Sylvan and wife JoAnn of New Orleans, La., and Dwight Reed of Thibodaux; daughters, Ruby Watkins and husband Philip, Cora Shanklin and husband Jared, Carla Williams, and Barbara Bradley of Thibodaux and Erica Joseph of Johnson Ridge and Geraldine Hampton and husband Henry of New Orleans; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his first wife, Clara Mae Bradley; parents, Cora Williams Washington and Edgar Bradley Jr.; three sisters, Julia M. Williams, Leola Bradley and Lois Marshall; and grandparents, Julia Lee Bradley and Edgar Bradley Sr.

He was a member of Moses Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
