Edward Joseph Melancon Jr., 59, a native and resident of Leeville, La., died Thursday, September 25.
He is survived by his father, Edward Joseph Melancon Sr., two sons, Patrick Melancon and wife Heidi and Emery Melancon and wife Jami; one daughter, Emilie Eiland and husband Harold Jr.; brothers Wayne Melancon and wife Margie, and Jack Melancon and wife Sheila; brothers-in-law Keith Doucet and wife Ann, Butch Doucet and wife Cheryl, Dave Doucet and wife Rita, Norman Doucet and wife Cecile; one sister-in-law, Marlene Mounce and husband Gary; and one granddaughter, Savannah LeBlanc.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Aline Doucet Melancon; his mother, Nege Marie Lombas Melancon; and one sister, Aline M. Melancon.
He was employed with C-Craft Marine.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with mass to follow. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
