Despite losing in state finals, Vandy girls are winners
March 1, 2012Edward “Wood” Pierce, 96, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012.
Mr. Pierce was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off.
He is survived by his wife, Eunice Pierce; sons, Wayne (Shirley) and Dale Pierce; daughters, Gayle (Carlton) Worley, Alice (Jerry) Gisclair and Donna (Derek) Comeaux; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Volzie and Myrtha Pierce; and sisters, Agatha Savoie, Bessie Foster, Macy Orgeron, Nancy Melancon and Blanche and Jeanne Pierce.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
