Egnolia Dupre Neil, 93, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 9.


She is survived by four sons, Morgan Neil and wife Norma of Chauvin, Alton Neil and wife Constance “Connie” of Bourg, La., Barry Neil and wife Vicky, and Joey Neil and wife Lynn of Houma, La.; two daughters, Irene N. Rabeaux of Forest Hill and Martha N. Anthony of Chauvin; 16 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Neil Jr.; her parents, Victor Dupre and Bernadette Authement Dupre; one daughter, Mona Portier; one son-in-law, Robert Rabeaux; and two brothers, Eddie Dupre and Shelly Foret.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Catholic Daughters and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
