Elaine Melancon

Elaine Griffin Melancon, 69, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Larose, La., died at 3:36 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010.

Mrs. Melancon was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church and an avid bowler, fisherwoman, card player and puzzle builder.

She is survived by her husband, Linton “Tickie” Melancon; mother, Lena Terrebonne; sons, Keith Guilbeau and Roddy Melancon; daughters, Lisa Miller and Faith Green; sisters, Crystal Decoste and Pat Vizier; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harris Griffin; step-father, Clay Terrebonne; brother, Lanny Griffin; and one granddaughter, Alexa Miller.

She is buried at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
