January 9, 2012Eleanor Watler Landry, 87, a native of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and resident of Houma, La., died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011.
Mrs. Landry was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She was a devoted homemaker, wonderful mother and loving grandmother and sister. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Gary and Dale Landry; daughters, Judy (Del) Walker, Donna (Peter) Lambert, Karen (Lance) Rodriguez and Lauri Henry; brothers, Melbourne and Charles Watler; sisters, Evangeline Moler, Hyacinth Solakha and Halceyone Loukmas; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doffey Landry; parents, Lanaman and Jane Watler; grandchild, Amy Landry; brothers, Ellsworth, Keithbourne and Stacey Watler; and sister, Varley Henning.
Burial was at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. (Falgout)
