Elery A. Morvant Sr., 84, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012.
Mr. Morvant was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport.
He is survived by his son, Elery Morvant Jr.; and brother, Wilton Morvant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Morvant; parents, Sidney Sr. and Edith Morvant; brother, Sidney Morvant Jr.; and sister, Edith Waguespack.
Visitation will be 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport with services at 11 a.m. at Holy Savior Catholic Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
