Elfrieda Bessie Maurer Billgren, age 91, a native of New Rockford, North Dakota and resident of Houma died Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
Mrs. Billgren loved bird watching, working cross word puzzles and watching country western movies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew Frederick Billgren (Konnie) of Rangely, Co., Richard Merlin Billgren (Karen) of Rogers, Arkansas; daughters, Karla Marie Collom (Curtis) of Houma, La., Mary Kathleen Bourgeois of Houma, La., Priscilla Ann Lightfoot of Welsh, La., Tanya Lynne Chauvin of Houma, La. and Sheila Kay Billgren Wall (Fred Brian) of Dallas, Tx.; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Howard Maurer and Vernon Everett Maurer; and sister, Erva Jean Maurer Bartlett.
Burial will follow at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
