June 16, 2011Elgin Etiene Domangue, 76, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Domangue; daughters, Patsy (Audie) Scott, Gaynell (Wayne) Pitre and Rebecca Domangue; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Domangue; mother and step-father, Stella (Essie) Blanchard; brothers, Roy and Peter Domangue; and sisters, Miriam Blanchard and Shirley and Theresa Dupre.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 17 at Samart Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial to follow at the church cemetery. (Samart)
