Hugh Anthony Louviere
August 31, 2010Elia Marie Waguespack, 88, a native of Vacherie, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010.
She is survived by one brother, Haydel A. Waguespack Sr. and wife, Leanne, of Garyville; four sisters, Marcelle W. Haydel and husband, Claude, and Blanche W. Troxclair and husband, Leon, Jewell W. Cuccia and husband, Louis, and Gaynell W. Bourgeois and husband, Leo; two nieces, Michelle B. Schexnayder and Nannette B. Nickens; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney P. Waguespack Sr. and Blanche Haydel Waguespack; brother Sidney P. Waguespack Jr.; niece, Pamela Waguespack; and nephew, Leo Bourgeois Jr.
She was a retired teacher with the St. James Parish School Board with 40 years of service. She was a member of Court St. Philip Catholic Daughters No. 1504, and the Ladies Altar Society of St. Philip Catholic Church Parish.
Interment was at St. Philip Catholic Church Mausoleum.
H. C. Alexander Funeral Home in Lutcher is in charge of the arrangements.
