Return of major sports aids recovery

Elijah Anthony Rousse, 29, a native of Golden Meadow, La. and resident of Cut Off, La., died Thursday, May 14.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy Price Rousse; his mother, Robin Blanchard Rousse; two sons, Jace Edward Rousse and Jacob Anthony Rousse; one daughter, Emily Marie Rousse; four brothers, Jeremy Kiger, Edward “Eddie” Rousse III, Sherod Rousse and Travis Rousse; nine nieces; and seven nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Joseph Rousse Jr.
He loved fishing, woodworking and especially his kids.
Funeral services were held May 20, 2009 at Golden Meadow United Methodist Church, with cremation to follow.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Cut Off is iin charge of arrangements.
