Elise Bourgeois Braud, 96, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, Aug. 4.
She is survived by one son, Charles F. Braud and wife Mary; three daughters, Barbara A. Braud, Joan Clement and husband Jerry of Thibodaux, and Nell Devrow and husband Dennis of Christiana, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Florence Breaux; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Braud; parents, Edgar Bourgeois and Hortense Toups; one brother, Harold Bourgeois; and one sister, Ethel B. Boudreaux.
The Braud family wishes to express deep gratitude to her caregiver, Burnita Fontenot, and to Hospice of South Louisiana.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
