Elise Theresa Savoie, 86, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Hammond La., died Monday, April 9, 2012.
Ms. Savoie had a passion for Mardi Gras and was the second queen of the Krewe of Hyacinthians. She was an adventurous traveler and loved her cats, most especially Grizzly. She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. She was employed with Texaco for 44 years.
She is survived by her sisters, Estelle Savoie and Julie (Bon) White; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Adrienne Savoie; and brothers, Ronald and James Savoie.
Burial was at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
