Elizabeth “Betty” Moore Aitkens, 86, a native of North Carolina and a longtime resident of Houma, La. until her recent move to Alexandria, La. died on Thursday, October 18, 2007.
She is survived by five children, Kathy White and her husband Don, Barbara McGee and her husband David, Sue Ryberg and her husband Randy, Larry Aitkens and his wife Mary, and Tim Aitkens; seven grandchildren, Paul White, Matthew McGee, Martha White, Jason Rydberg, Kathryn McGee, Sarah Aitkens, and Michael Rydberg; and one sister, Ruth Walters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. J. Milo Aitkens; one son, Ralph Robert Aitkens; and her parents, Francis B. Moore and Mary Long Moore.
Visitation is Tuesday, October 23, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at First Presbyterian Church in Houma. She will be buried in Magnolia Cemetery.
