Elizabeth Katherine Wagner Lindley, 81, a native of Anderson, TX., and a resident of Schriever, LA., died Sunday, April 1, 2007.


Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at Landry’s Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral. Burial will be in the church cemetery.


She is survived by six children, Elizabeth Ann Ermer and husband, Lou, Marilyn Kay Touchet and husband, Mike, Joseph R. Lindley Jr. and wife, Martha, Robert A. Lindley and wife, Joy, Thomas M. Lindley and wife, Lori, and Jeff D. Lindley and wife, Lyddy; three sisters, Verna Gobar of Houston, TX., Agnes Looney of Granby, Conn., and Amelia Burke of Rosenberg, TX.; one brother, Fred Wagner of Houston; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Lindley Sr.; her parents, Simon J. Wagner and Katherine K. Wagner; and six siblings, John J. Wagner, Joseph L. Wagner, the Rev. Ben A. Wagner, OMI, Alfred G. Wagner, Mary Wagner and Cecelia Wagner.

She was a retired employee of Sears and Roebuck Co., an active partner in the family-owned business, R&S Recycling, a member of the Come Lord Jesus Prayer Group, a 15 year committed adorer of Christ the Redeemer Adoration Chapel and extraordinary minister of the Eucharist of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux or the American Cancer Society.

Landry’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
