Ella Mae “Mamie” Gros Borne, 90, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Nolan) Thibodaux, Kenneth (Audrey) Borne and Linda (Bobby) Ardoin; sisters, Mary Ann Bergeron and Geraldine Talbot; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Borne; son, Gerald Borne; parents, Camille and Josephine Gros; brothers, Norris, Lawrence, Irvin, Wilbert, Harold and Collins Gros; sisters, Lucille Callahan, Alma Ordoyne, Gertrude Lagrange, Hazel Rousseau and Laura Mae Gros; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
