December 7, 2009Ellis Duet, 82, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Dec. 2, 2009.
He is survived by one stepson, Octave (Jennifer) Borne; daughters, Cheri (Chester Jr.) Stewart and Rita (Brian) Pontiff; stepdaughters, Arlene (Richard) Constantino and Bette (Mark) Henry; brother, Clifton Duet; one grandchild; and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna, H. Duet; parents, Arthur and Felicia T. Duet; brothers, Leonce, Morris, Wilfred, Alcide, Edmond, Elton and Roland Duet; and sisters, Leoncia Gisclair, Armena Orgeron, Nancy Neal and Bertha Bourgeois.
Mr. Duet was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, La.
Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 4, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Prompt Succor. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at the church beginning at 11 a.m.
Mr. Duet will be buried in Hebert Cemetery in Galliano.
