Elma Plaisance Remont, 90, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Sunday, November 2, at 1:45 p.m.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Remont and wife Juanita; daughters, Janet R. Price and husband Donald, Katherine R. Callahan and husband Ray, Sherry R. Orgeron and husband Sidney, and Deborah R. David and husband Donovan; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Noncess J. Remont; parents, Anatole and Octavia Robichaux Plaisance; brothers, Francis Plaisance and Eugene Plaisance; and one great-grandchild.

She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cut Off, La.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
