February 17, 2010Elmer “Lloyd” Matherne, 66, a native of St. Charles Parish and resident of Bourg, La., died at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Nelton Matherne; sons, Roddy (Carla) and Ronnie Matherne; daughter, Renetta (Dustin) Theriot; brothers, Jesse, Dale and Edward Matherne; sisters, Eula Hafford, Stella Guidry, Nora Bonin, Della Belanger and Loretta Dardar; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilmond and Helen Dufrene Matherne; brothers, Adles, Stanley, Raymond and Mather; and sisters, Adele Monet and Clothilda Hogan.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
