Elouise “Mook” “Sunshine” Livas Nelson, 82, a resident of Gray, La., died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Mitchell Sr. and Gilbert (Roslind) Nelson; daughters, Eliza and Sheena Nelson and Geraldine (Carl) Celestin; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Nelson Sr.; parents, Albert and Mamie Livas; grandparents, Lucy and Eugene Smith and Mary and Anthony Livas; sons, Samuel Jr. and Donald Nelson; daughter, Mildred Broomfield; sisters, Mildred Harris, Irma Stokes, Alma Singleton and Hazel, Edna and Orelia Livas; and brothers, Charles Sr., Albert Jr. and Louis Sr. Livas.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14 and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at First Baptist Church in Schriever, La., with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Community)
