Elsie Rhodes Theriot Andrews, 83, a native of Theriot, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday June 29, at 6:20 p.m.


She is survived by her husband, Lester Andrews Sr.; daughter, Gale R. Guidry of Houma; sons, Michael John Rhodes of Ville Platte, La., Dallas P. Rhodes of Anchorage, Alaska, and Herbert A. Rhodes of Houma; sisters, Cecile Evans, Madge Landry and Lydia Champagne; brothers, Herbert Theriot, Elton Theriot, Patrick Theriot, Carol Theriot and Roy John Theriot; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Jean Theriot and Aimee Chauvin Theriot; previous husband, Dallas Paul Rhodes; and brother, Clinton Peter Theriot.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild. Elsie was one of this areas most talented and beloved artists.

The funeral service was Wednesday, July 1, at St. Eloi Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Elsie Rhodes Theriot Andrews
