Elta Leontine Savoie Fonseca, 85, a native of Gheens, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012.
Mrs. Fonseca was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas (Sharon), Daniel (Karen), Anthony and Darrell (Ellen) Fonseca; daughters, Peggy Courteau, Sheryl Hunter and Jane (John) Carroll; brother, Houston Savoie; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan Fonseca; parents, John and Sidonia Savoie; son, Michael Fonseca; daughter, Elaine Fonseca; brothers, Forrest, Horace, Alton, Earl and Sergie Savoie; and sisters, Vernice Ordoyne, Jane Plaisance and Annie Pennison.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
