Elton Anthony Darsey, 100, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, November 26, at 8:10 a.m.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clothilde Ostendorf Darsey; his parents, Auretile Ozema Darsey and Angelle Malbrough Darsey; two brothers, Elphy Darsey and Elmer Darsey; and four sisters, Elier Darsey, Ella Darsey Robichaux, Estella Darsey Volkmer and Ethel Darsey Wileke.
He was a lawyer with a juris doctorate from Loyola Law School and a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Bayou Region Hospice, 195 Corporate Drive, Houma, La. 70360, or to the Myron Wright Foundation, P.O. Box 5051, Thibodaux, La. 70302.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian burial will follow with interment at St. Francis de Sales No. 1 Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
