Elton “Coon” Vincent Savoie, 79, a resident of Larose, LA. and a native of Houma, LA., died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 12 a.m. Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, LA. and from 10 to 12 p.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. A mass will be held at noon at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Gremillion Savoie; his sons, Bobby, Louis and Daryal Savoie; his daughters, Gladys, Witzel and Mona Sue Waguespack; his sisters, Verna Mae Pellegrin, Emma Lee Boudreaux, and Carolyn Bergeron; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Douglas and Emily Picou Savoie; his brother, Ira Savoie; and his sister, Meloria Charpentier.
He was a parishoner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and a World War II and Korean Veteran.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
