Elton “Coon” Vincent Savoie, 79, a native of Houma, LA. and a resident of Larose, LA., died at 11:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to midnight Sunday at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, LA. and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Gremillion Savoie; three sons, Bobby, Louis Savoie and Daryal Savoie; two daughters, Gladys Witzel and Mona Sue Waguespack; three sisters, Verna Mae Pellegrin, Emma Lee Boudreaux and Carol Bergeron; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Douglas Savoie and Emily Picou Savoie; one brother, Ira Savoie; and one sister, Meloria Charpentier.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
