Elvin “Mane” Matthews, 43, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, March 30, 2011.


Mr. Matthews was Baptist, a member of Star Baptist Assoc. and a member of the Krewe of Tut.


He is survived by his father, Elvin Harris; sons, Elvin Kenny and Delvin Matthews; daughter, LaQuanshea Matthews; brothers, Stafford, Herbert and Andrew Matthews, and Christopher (Kenya) Harris; and sisters, Diana and Melinda Matthews, Sylvia (Kevin) Brown, Darlene (Clarence) McGuire and Paula (Barry) Jones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Zenobia Matthews Harris; one brother, Ronald Matthews; and grandparents, Willie and Carrie Taylor Harris, and Robert Matthews Sr. and Dorothy Willis.

He is buried at Halfway Cemetery. (Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne)
