Elvis “Al” Chabert, 93, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
Mr. Chabert was a member of Golden Meadow Fire Department, several veteran and church organizations. He was a U.S. Navy WWII veteran and a retiree of Texaco.
Mr. Chabert is survived by his sons, Philip M. (Lynette) Chabert, Kenneth J. (Kathy) Chabert, and Drake J. (Andrea) Chabert; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Amelia Pitre, Vivian Mayet, Nina Bourg and Dora Curole.
Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
