Elward Paul Mount, 72, a native of Dulac, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010.
Mr. Mount was a member of Friendswood Church of Christ.
He is survived by his sons, Jimmy and Emmett Simmons; daughters, Theresa Ferriera, Cindy Simmons and Linda Black; brother, Anthony Ivy Mount; sister, Pearl Thibodaux; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmond Sr. and Camellia Prosperie Mount; six brothers, Edward, Joseph, Edmond Jr., Henry, William “Billy”, and Earl Mount Sr.; and two sisters, Virginia Jarveaux and Rosalie Malbrough.
