Emelda “Na Nan” Mills, 89, a native and resident of Plattenville, La., died Tuesday, February 24.
She is survived by her daughters, Marynell James of Dorseyville, La., and Hazel Mills of Plattenville; sons, Hayward Mills and wife Mary Ann of Thibodaux, La., Roynell Mills of Thibodaux, Stanley Mills and wife Betina of New Iberia, La., Ruben and wife Beverly of South Dakota, and Rudy and Darwin Mills of Plattenville; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hayward Mills Sr.; daughter, Grace Harris; and sons, Nathaniel and Lionel Mills.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Napoleonville, La., with the funeral services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
