November 15, 2010Emildred “Sur Sur” Doucet, 77, a native of Galliano, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010.
Ms. Doucet was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Morning Group, and Red Hatters Society. She enjoyed bingo, garage sales and the casino.
She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Jr. (Louella) and Randy Sr. (Linda Gail) Doucet; daughters, Linda (Shannon Sr.) Doucet and Monita (Glenn) Gisclair; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Doucet Sr.; parents, Evest and Eulalie Guidry Chouest; one son, Mark Doucet; one granddaughter, Angela Doucet; and two brothers, Parrison Sr. and Verison Chouest.
She is buried at Cheramie Cemetery.
