Emilienne Grabert Vicknair, 89, a native of St. Charles Community, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 4:40 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2011.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest Jr. (Kathryn) and Bruce (Martha) Vicknair; daughter, Brenda Vicknair; brother, Felix (Barbara Stevens) Grabert; four grandchildren, Kristie (James) Curry, and Brett (Katie), Benton (Katie) and David Vicknair; and six great-grandchildren, Berritt, McKenna, Brittany, Emma, Peyton and Brady.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Bijou” Vicknair; parents, Clifford and Emelia Lirette Grabert; and one sister, Edith (Edmond) Benoit.
The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers at Lafourche Home for the Aged and Journey Hospice for the care given to Emilienne Vicknair.
She is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
