Emma Lou Smith Porche, 78, a native of Alto, Tx., and a resident of Houma, La., died Sunday, October 5.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Porche; three sons, Adrian Lee Porche, Eric Royce Porche and Derek Paul Porche; four daughters, Faye Porche, Debra P. Babin, Lori Porche and Barbara LeBoeuf; one brother, Sydney Lee Smith; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas Beatty Smith and Lillie Cassie Mann Smith; two sons, Mark and John Porche; one son-in-law, Dale Anthony “Coon” LeBoeuf; and one sister, Lillie Effie Coleman.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, October 9, at Bayou Blue United Methodist Church with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Gardens.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
