Emma “Big Maw Maw” Dubois Thomassie, 77, a native of Mathews, La. died Monday, February 11, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Cole and Merita Loup and husband, Raymond; son, Leo Thomassie Jr. and wife, Susan; grandchildren, Jerry Bumgarden and wife, Linda, Frank Bumgarden and wife, Amy, Corey Martin and wife, Shelly, Tera Wittnber and husband, Ed, Kelly Cole Spears, Billy Hunter, Melissa Hunter, Shannon Dye, Danielle Thomassie and Mia Thomassie; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Willis Trishe; and brother, Alvin Dubois.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Thomassie Sr.; her father, Bernard Dubois; and her mother, Nola Stesay Dubois.
Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the funeral home, with burial in Monroe Memorial Park.
Kilpatrick Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
