Enola D. Cheramie, 78, a native and resident of Larose, La., died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011.
Mrs. Cheramie loved travel, camping, eating out, casinos, dancing, fishing, and hunting with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 259 and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary Post of LaSalle of Golden Meadow, La.
She is survived by her husband, Murphy Cheramie; sons, Irwin Jr., David and Toby Gisclair; stepdaughters, Cindy Louviere and Dora and Leonise Cheramie; brother, Forest (Shirley) Domangue; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Cecile Domangue; brothers, Noles Schouest and Edward and Peter Domangue; son, Mike Gisclair; and stepson, Wade Cheramie.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with interment to follow at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano, La. (Falgout)
